Rinkven wins the 2022 men’s title!

The team from Antwerp makes a double this year by winning the Interclubs of Belgium and the Belgian Golf League.

Even though three of their best players were in Portugal representing Rinkven at the European Men’s Club Trophy, they managed to defeat La Tournette 2-1.

The first single opposed Hugues Joannes to Louis Vandeputte. Joannes, who used to be a touring professional on the Challenge Tour played steadily and managed to secure the first point for La Tournette by winning 5&3.

The fourball opposed Ciancaleoni and Benabderrazik (Tournette) to the duo Quy and Peeters (Rinkven). The strong pair from Rinkven managed to take an early lead until the young duo from La Tournette came back to one down on the back nine. But experience was a major asset for Quy and Peeters and they brought the first point to Rinkven on hole 15 (4&3)

The second single was the decisive battle for the men’s final. Two experienced players face to face. Gil Debusscher (Tournette) and Stefan Boschmans (Rinkven). Sometimes 1up, sometimes all square and sometimes 1 down. In the end, Boschmans defeated Debusscher 3&1, and thus brought the winning point to Rinkven.
